Am dritten Morgen legte Chiara ein kleines durchsichtiges Labyrinth in das Becken. In der Mitte lag Krabbenfleisch. Der Weg dorthin hatte zwei Rechtskurven und eine Linkskurve.
Pasta beobachtete aus ihrer Ecke.
Pasta schickte zwei Arme in Richtung des Labyrinths. Ihr Körper bewegte sich nicht. Die Arme gingen verschiedene Wege. Einer ging oben entlang. Einer ging hinein.
Ein Oktopus hat viele Neuronen. Zwei Drittel davon befinden sich in den Armen, nicht im Kopf. Jeder Arm hat sein eigenes Nervensystem. Jeder Arm kann ein Problem lösen.
Der erste Arm ging durch das Labyrinth. Er bog an den Ecken ab. Der zweite Arm fand ein kleines Tor. Der erste Arm drückte von innen. Der zweite Arm drückte von außen. Das Tor öffnete sich.
Der Arm nahm das Krabbenfleisch.
Pasta hatte ihren Körper nicht bewegt.
Chiara schaute ihr Video an. "Die Arme haben das Futter geholt", sagte sie. "Hat der Oktopus das Labyrinth gelöst oder haben die Arme es gelöst? Wir wissen es nicht."
Polly schaute Pasta an. Der Oktopus zog das Krabbenfleisch zu ihrem Schnabel.
