Son las tres de la mañana, y la calle está más despierta que al mediodía. Los camiones llegan uno tras otro, cargados de sacos de caléndulas, rosas y orquídeas recién traídas del campo. Los trabajadores se mueven rápido, apilando flores en torres más altas que una persona, gritando precios de un lado a otro entre el ruido.
Este es Pak Khlong Talat, el mercado de flores más grande de Bangkok, y en realidad nunca cierra. Durante el día parece casi dormido, con solo unos pocos puestos y rincones tranquilos. Pero en cuanto se pone el sol, floristas de toda la ciudad llegan a comprar mercancía fresca antes del amanecer, y el mercado se llena de color y ruido hasta que sale el sol.
