Carla sentou-se e observou os números a mudar. 32. 33. 36. Os números não avançavam pela ordem. Pensou se se teriam esquecido dela.
Ao fim de uma hora, o ecrã mostrou finalmente o 47. Passou pela porta para o pequeno consultório. O médico olhou para a mão dela durante dois minutos. — Não é nada — disse. — Limpe duas vezes por dia. Sem pontos.
Quando saiu, a sala de espera estava quase vazia. O adolescente tinha-se ido embora. O bebé estava acordado. O homem tinha finalmente virado a página.
