Sull'isola di São Miguel, nelle Azzorre, c'è un villaggio chiamato Furnas dove il terreno stesso è vivo di calore. Dai buchi nel suolo sale del vapore, e la terra è calda sotto i piedi. Questo posto si trova sopra un vulcano, e gli abitanti hanno imparato a far lavorare il vulcano per loro in un modo davvero delizioso.
