En la isla de São Miguel, en las Azores, hay un pueblo llamado Furnas donde el suelo mismo está vivo con calor. El vapor se eleva de agujeros en la tierra, y el suelo se siente cálido bajo tus pies. Este lugar está sobre un volcán, y la gente aquí ha aprendido a hacer que el volcán trabaje para ellos de una manera deliciosa.
Temprano en el día, un cocinero llena una olla alta con carne, chorizo, col y otras verduras.
