Había una nota. «Es la receta de mi abuela. He hecho demasiado. Bienvenida al edificio. — Pilar.»
Marta se comió el bizcocho en la mesa de su cocina. Era el mejor bizcocho que había comido en mucho tiempo. No sabía cómo dar las gracias a Pilar. No sabía hornear. No tenía la receta de su abuela.
Al final, escribió una tarjeta. «Gracias. El bizcocho estaba maravilloso. Si alguna vez necesita ayuda con la compra, llame a la puerta.» Dejó la tarjeta debajo de la puerta de Pilar. Ahora tenían algo por donde empezar.
