Satu Kawah, Dua Warna

Polly melihat ke bawah, ke sebuah kawah besar. Kawah itu sangat tua dan sangat luas. Di dalamnya ada dua danau. Sejalur tanah membelah tengahnya. Satu danau berwarna biru. Danau yang lain hijau.

Polly looked down into a huge crater. It was very old and very big. It held two lakes. A strip of land crossed the middle. One lake was blue. The other lake was green.

Kedua danau itu bersambung di bawah tanah. Tetapi warnanya berbeda. Danau biru itu dalam dan memantulkan langit. Danau hijau dekat tumbuhan, jadi warnanya hijau.

The two lakes are joined under the land. But they look different. The blue lake is deep and shows the sky. The green lake is near plants, so it looks green.

Polly terbang rendah di atas jalur tanah. Ia melihat perahu di satu sisi. Ia melihat sapi di sisi lain. Kabut datang dan menutupi danau.

Polly flew low over the strip of land. She saw boats on one side. She saw cows on the other side. Fog came in and covered the lakes.

Ia menunggu di tembok tua. Kabut pergi. Kedua danau masih ada, biru dan hijau.

She waited on an old wall. The fog went away. Both lakes were still there, blue and green.
