Un cráter, dos colores

Polly miró hacia abajo, dentro de un cráter enorme. Era muy viejo y muy grande. Tenía dos lagos. Una franja de tierra cruzaba el centro. Un lago era azul. El otro lago era verde.

Polly looked down into a huge crater. It was very old and very big. It held two lakes. A strip of land crossed the middle. One lake was blue. The other lake was green.

Los dos lagos están unidos bajo la tierra. Pero se ven diferentes. El lago azul es profundo y muestra el cielo. El lago verde está cerca de plantas, así que se ve verde.

The two lakes are joined under the land. But they look different. The blue lake is deep and shows the sky. The green lake is near plants, so it looks green.

Polly voló bajo sobre la franja de tierra. Vio barcos en un lado. Vio vacas en el otro lado. Llegó niebla y cubrió los lagos.

Polly flew low over the strip of land. She saw boats on one side. She saw cows on the other side. Fog came in and covered the lakes.

Esperó en un muro viejo. La niebla se fue. Los dos lagos seguían allí, azul y verde.

She waited on an old wall. The fog went away. Both lakes were still there, blue and green.
