Cena enterrada al amanecer

Cerca de un pequeño lago, Polly vio grandes ollas junto a agujeros profundos. Un cocinero puso una olla en cada agujero con una cuerda. Polly observó.

Near a small lake, Polly saw big pots next to deep holes. A cook put a pot into each hole with a rope. Polly watched.

Each pot had meat and vegetables inside. The ground under it is hot from the volcano. There is no fire. Only the earth's heat cooks the food.

The pots stay in the ground for six or seven hours. People go for a walk while they wait. Then they come back for dinner.
