Le api sono piccole, ma lavorano molto. Un'ape operaia vola di fiore in fiore tutto il giorno. Beve il succo dolce dei fiori con la sua lingua lunga. Questo succo dolce si chiama nettare, e l'ape lo tiene in uno stomaco speciale.
