La taza vacía

Es el primer día de Pedro. Él recibe un escritorio. Él recibe un ordenador portátil. Todos van a una reunión.

It is Pedro's first day. He gets a desk. He gets a laptop. Everyone goes to a meeting.

El escritorio está limpio. Hay una taza blanca. Él piensa: quizás es un regalo. Él tiene sed.

The desk is clean. There is one white cup. He thinks: maybe it is a gift. He is thirsty.

Pedro va a la cocina. Llena la taza con agua. Se sienta. Un hombre con barba está en la puerta.

Pedro goes to the kitchen. He fills the cup with water. He sits down. A bearded man stands at the door.

"Este era mi escritorio antes", dice él. Sonríe. "Soy Diego. Bienvenido."

"This was my desk before," he says. He smiles. "I am Diego. Welcome."

La cara de Pedro se pone roja. Él devuelve la taza. Diego se ríe. "Quédatela", dice él. "Pero pregunta por la máquina de café."

Pedro's face turns red. He gives the cup back. Diego laughs. "Keep it," he says. "But ask about the coffee machine."

Más tarde, Diego le enseña la máquina de café. Tarda diez minutos.

Later, Diego shows him the coffee machine. It takes ten minutes.
