The Room With a Balcony

Marcos arrives at the hotel late at night. He is tired. He puts down his suitcase. A woman sits at the desk.

मार्कोस रात को देर से होटल पहुँचता है। वह थका हुआ है। वह अपना सूटकेस रखता है। एक औरत डेस्क पर बैठी है।

"I have a reservation," he says. "My name is Marcos Soto." The woman types. Her face changes.

"मैंने कमरा बुक किया है," वह कहता है। "मेरा नाम मार्कोस सोतो है।" औरत टाइप करती है। उसका चेहरा बदल जाता है।

"I am sorry. Your room is not ready. But we have one room with a balcony." She gives him the key.

"माफ़ कीजिए। आपका कमरा तैयार नहीं है। पर हमारे पास बालकनी वाला एक कमरा है।" वह उसे चाबी देती है।

The elevator is old. It makes noise. Marcos opens the door. He sees the city: roofs, lights, and a fountain.

लिफ़्ट पुरानी है। इसमें आवाज़ होती है। मार्कोस दरवाज़ा खोलता है। वह शहर देखता है: छतें, रोशनी, और एक फ़व्वारा।

He goes onto the balcony. The wind is cold. Two people stand by the fountain. Marcos watches them.
