Huone, jossa on parveke

Marcos saapuu hotelliin myöhään illalla. Hän on väsynyt. Hän laskee matkalaukun maahan. Nainen istuu tiskillä.

Marcos arrives at the hotel late at night. He is tired. He puts down his suitcase. A woman sits at the desk.

"Minulla on varaus", hän sanoo. "Nimeni on Marcos Soto." Nainen kirjoittaa. Hänen ilmeensä muuttuu.

"I have a reservation," he says. "My name is Marcos Soto." The woman types. Her face changes.

"Olen pahoillani. Huoneesi ei ole valmis. Mutta meillä on yksi huone, jossa on parveke." Hän antaa avaimen.

"I am sorry. Your room is not ready. But we have one room with a balcony." She gives him the key.

Hissi on vanha. Se pitää ääntä. Marcos avaa oven. Hän näkee kaupungin: katot, valot ja suihkulähteen.

The elevator is old. It makes noise. Marcos opens the door. He sees the city: roofs, lights, and a fountain.

Hän menee parvekkeelle. Tuuli on kylmä. Kaksi ihmistä seisoo suihkulähteen luona. Marcos katsoo heitä.

He goes onto the balcony. The wind is cold. Two people stand by the fountain. Marcos watches them.
