火山が作る夕食

アゾレス諸島には、フルナスという村があります。そこの地面は熱いです。地面の穴から蒸気が上がってきます。人々はこの熱を料理に使います。

In the Azores, there is a village called Furnas. The ground there is hot. Steam comes up from holes in the earth. People use this heat to cook.

料理人は大きな鍋にいっぱい入れます。肉と野菜が入っています。料理人はその鍋を熱い穴に入れます。七時間、煮えます。

A cook fills a big pot. It has meat and vegetables. The cook puts the pot in a hot hole. It cooks for seven hours.

何時間も経つと、料理ができあがります。柔らかくて、味がしっかりしています。人々は長いテーブルに座ります。お皿から湯気が上がります。

After many hours, the food is ready. It is soft and full of flavor. People sit at long tables. Steam rises from their plates.
