Ο Δακτύλιος του Μπρόντγκαρ στέκεται ανάμεσα σε δύο λίμνες. Οι πέτρες κάνουν έναν κύκλο περίπου εκατόν τέσσερα μέτρα φαρδύ. Οι άνθρωποι τον έφτιαξαν πριν από περίπου τέσσερις χιλιάδες χρόνια.

"Πόση ώρα κρατάει το πέρασμα;" ρώτησε τελευταία. Το πρωί το πλοίο βγήκε περνώντας το χαμηλό ακρωτήρι. Τα νησιά χάθηκαν πίσω του, ένα ένα.
