Dinner Cooked by a Volcano

In the Azores, there is a village called Furnas. The ground there is hot. Steam comes up from holes in the earth. People use this heat to cook.

अज़ोरेस में फ़ुर्नास नाम का एक गाँव है। वहाँ की ज़मीन गर्म है। धरती के छेदों से भाप निकलती है। लोग इस गर्मी से खाना पकाते हैं।

A cook fills a big pot. It has meat and vegetables. The cook puts the pot in a hot hole. It cooks for seven hours.

एक रसोइया एक बड़ा बर्तन भरता है। उसमें मांस और सब्ज़ियाँ हैं। रसोइया बर्तन को गर्म छेद में रखता है। यह सात घंटे तक पकता है।

After many hours, the food is ready. It is soft and full of flavor. People sit at long tables. Steam rises from their plates.

कई घंटों बाद, खाना तैयार है। यह नरम है और स्वाद से भरा है। लोग लंबी मेज़ों पर बैठते हैं। उनकी थालियों से भाप उठती है।
