Carla reže ruku. Pere posuđe kod kuće. Ide u ambulantu. Dobiva broj: četrdeset sedam.

Carla cuts her hand. She washes dishes at home. She goes to the clinic. She gets a number: forty-seven.

Ekran pokazuje trideset jedan. Soba je puna. Muškarac čita časopis. Otac drži bebu. Tinejdžer gleda telefon.

The screen shows thirty-one. The room is full. A man reads a magazine. A father holds a baby. A teenager looks at his phone.

Brojevi se mijenjaju sporo: trideset dva, trideset tri, trideset šest. Ne idu po redu. Carla čeka.

The numbers change slowly: thirty-two, thirty-three, thirty-six. They do not go in order. Carla waits.

Nakon jednog sata, ekran pokazuje četrdeset sedam. Carla ulazi. Liječnik gleda njezinu ruku. "Mala je", kaže. "Čistite je dva puta dnevno."

After one hour, the screen shows forty-seven. Carla goes in. The doctor looks at her hand. "It is small," he says. "Clean it two times a day."

Carla izlazi. Soba je skoro prazna. Tinejdžera više nema. Beba je budna.

Carla leaves. The room is almost empty. The teenager is gone. The baby is awake.
