嵐があらわした村

「そこへの行き方を教えてもらえますか。」とポリーは朝ごはんのときに聞きました。海沿いの道を西へ行きなさい、と羊が言いました。村は白い砂の浜の後ろにあります。

"Can you tell me how to get there?" Polly asked at breakfast. Follow the coast road west, the sheep said. The village sits behind a bay of pale sand.

遺跡にミヤコドリがいました。ポリーは聞きました。「この遺跡の歴史を知りたいのですが。」五千年前、ここに人が住んでいました、と鳥が言いました。そのあと、砂が村をおおいました。

An oystercatcher was at the site. Polly asked, "I would like to know the history of this particular monument." People lived here five thousand years ago, he said. Then sand covered the village.
