Il Ring of Brodgar sta su una lingua stretta di terra tra due laghi. Le pietre formano un cerchio di circa centoquattro metri di diametro. Intorno fu scavato un fossato nella roccia viva. Fu costruito tra quattromila e quattromilacinquecento anni fa. Fa parte di un sito patrimonio dell'umanità.
