Es ist Pollys letzter Morgen. Sie fliegt zum alten Turm. Berta ist auch da. Sie schauen zusammen die Sonne aufgehen.

It is Polly's last morning. She flies to the old tower. Berta is there too. They watch the sun come up.

Das Licht fällt auf die Stadt. Alle Häuser glühen rosa und golden. Es ist sehr schön. Der Fluss hält die Stadt wie ein Arm.

The light falls on the town. All the houses glow pink and gold. It is very beautiful. The river holds the town like an arm.

Berta gibt Polly eine getrocknete Feige. Sie ist für die Reise. Auf Wiedersehen, kleiner Marder, sagt Polly. Komm bald wieder, sagt Berta.

Berta gives Polly a dried fig. It is for the journey. Goodbye, little marten, says Polly. Come back soon, says Berta.

Polly fliegt den Fluss entlang. Die Stadt wird klein hinter ihr. Die Feige hebt sie für später auf. Eines Tages kommt sie wieder.

Polly flies along the river. The town gets small behind her. She keeps the fig for later. One day she will come back.
