Un día en el río

Un río rodea el pueblo, como un anillo. Hoy Polly visita el río. Quiere un día tranquilo.

A river goes around the town, like a ring. Today Polly visits the river. She wants a slow day.

Junto al agua hace fresco. El agua está limpia y fría. Los árboles cuelgan sobre el río. Las libélulas azules vuelan sobre el agua. Polly camina por el sendero pequeño.

By the water it is cool. The water is clean and cold. Trees hang over the river. Blue dragonflies fly over the water. Polly walks on the small path.

Mira unos insectos pequeños sobre el agua. Escucha el río. Muy arriba, las casas rosadas miran hacia abajo.

She watches little insects on the water. She listens to the river. High above, the pink houses look down.

Por la tarde un zorro viene a beber. Polly y el zorro se miran. Después el zorro se va. Polly vuela a casa contenta.

In the evening a fox comes to drink. Polly and the fox look at each other. Then the fox goes away. Polly flies home happy.
