Ещё до восхода солнца рынок шумел. На рынке Омитё узкие проходы под одной крышей. Продавцы клали рыбу на лёд ровными рядами. Пол был мокрый. Всё пахло холодной солью.
Этот рынок начался в тысяча семьсот двадцать первом году. Старые правители собрали всех торговцев едой в одном месте рядом с замком. Изменилось немногое. Люди зовут это место кухней города.
Зимние утра самые шумные. Сезон крабов начинается в ноябре. Большие крабы лежат в деревянных лотках. У каждого краба есть бирка с портом. Самые большие стоят очень дорого.
К позднему утру всё кончается. Лотки стоят в стопках. Кто-то моет пол. Полли сидела на пустом ящике и смотрела.
