На вершине холма стоял замок. Длинные каменные стены шли вдоль сухого рва. Над ними было ровное зелёное поле. Полли прошлась по верху стены.
Крыши здесь белые. Они сделаны из свинца. Старый свинец на солнце кажется белым. Люди говорят, что на войне крышу можно было переплавить на пули.
Стены показывают много видов кладки. Одни камни грубые. Другие обтёсаны в квадрат и лежат очень близко. Третьи складываются в узор. Старые князья здесь были очень богаты, поэтому платили и за красоту.
Замок горел не раз. Почти всё построили заново по старым планам. Одни ворота старше. Полли сидела на их бледной крыше.
