Polly lensi aavikon yli Arizonassa. Hän laskeutui ison kanjonin suulle. Mutta punaiset muurit olivat pieniä. Ne olivat puiden korkuisia.

Polly flew over the desert in Arizona. She landed at the mouth of a big canyon. But the red walls here were small. They were as tall as the trees.

The canyon floor belongs to the Navajo Nation. About forty families live here. They grow food on the sand. People have lived here for more than four thousand years.

Polly looked down the canyon. The walls got taller and taller. She wanted to see the end. So she stayed for seven days.
