Polly finds a tall tower of red rock at the end of the canyon. She looks at it, but she does not land on it.

On the last day, Polly flew a long way. The canyon split into two arms. There she saw a tall tower of red rock with two points on top.
It is called Spider Rock. Navajo people say Spider Woman lives at the top. They say she taught the Diné how to weave.
Polly did not land on it. Some things are better to look at. She sat on the other side and watched the light. Gold, then orange, then grey.
A small bird sang below her. The sound came back from the walls. Polly thought about the canyon for a long time. Then she flew west.
