Jazero, ktoré každé leto zmizne

Toto jazero mizne úmyselne. Pošli toto kamarátovi, ktorý stále niečo stráca. V Slovinsku je jazero, ktoré tam nie je vždy. V zime je jedným z najväčších jazier v krajine. V lete je preč.

This lake vanishes on purpose. Send this to a friend who loses things all the time. In Slovenia there is a lake that is not always there. In winter it is one of the biggest lakes in the country. In summer it is gone.

Zem pod údolím je plná dier a tunelov v skale. Na jeseň voda odteká cez tieto diery, kým údolie nevyschne. V zime dážď a topiaci sa sneh tlačia späť cez tie isté diery a jazero sa znova napĺňa, niekedy za pár dní.

The ground under the valley is full of holes and tunnels in the rock. In autumn, water drains down through these holes until the valley is dry. In winter, rain and melting snow push back up through the same holes, and the lake fills again, sometimes in just a few days.

Keď je voda vysoko, ľudia veslujú na člnoch a pozorujú vtáky na jazere. Keď je voda nízko, farmári vychádzajú von a kosia seno na tej istej zemi. Starí spisovatelia o tomto zvláštnom jazere písali už pred dvetisíc rokmi a stále mýli návštevníkov aj dnes.

When the water is high, people row boats and watch birds on the lake. When the water is low, farmers walk out and cut hay on the same ground. Old writers wrote about this strange lake two thousand years ago, and it still confuses visitors today.
