Polly llegó desde el este al amanecer. Debajo de ella había un mundo de hojas. No había caminos, solo verde, como un gran mar. Polly tiene la cabeza roja, el cuerpo verde y unas gafas pequeñas y redondas. Esto era el Amazonas, la selva más grande de la Tierra.

Un gran río marrón corría entre el verde. Era muy ancho. El río Amazonas lleva más agua que cualquier otro río de la Tierra. El agua era lenta y estaba llena de barro.
Al atardecer, la selva hizo niebla. La niebla se convirtió en nubes. La selva hace su propia lluvia. Polly se posó en una rama alta y miró la lluvia cruzar el verde.
