Globos al amanecer

En su última mañana, Polly se despertó en la oscuridad. Grandes globos aerostáticos se alzaban en la llanura. El fuego los hacía brillar como lámparas. Se elevaron hacia el cielo. Polly voló con ellos.

On her last morning, Polly woke up in the dark. Big balloons stood on the plain. Fire made them glow like lamps. They rose into the sky. Polly flew with them.

Desde las alturas, Polly pudo ver todo. Las rocas, el río y los animales. Las manadas seguían caminando.

From high up, Polly saw everything. The rocks, the river, and the animals. The herds were still walking.

Los animales caminarán hacia el norte. Después vendrá la lluvia, y caminarán hacia el sur otra vez. El ciclo nunca se detiene.

The animals will walk north. Then the rain will come, and they will walk south again. The circle never stops.

El globo flotaba. Todos estaban en silencio. Polly voló hacia el este, hacia el sol. El Serengeti se quedó atrás, siempre en movimiento.

The balloon floated. Everyone was quiet. Polly flew east, into the sun. The Serengeti stayed behind her, still moving.
