Lampaat portilla

Polly nousee aikaisin. Hän istuu muurilla Bertan kanssa. Hän kuulee monta pientä kelloa. Lampaat tulevat vanhasta portista.

Polly gets up early. She sits on the wall with Berta. She hears many little bells. Sheep come through the old gate.

A shepherd walks behind the sheep. He has a big white dog. The dog is very calm. The sheep know the way.

Polly asks the dog: can I come? The dog nods. They walk up to the green meadow. The sheep eat grass all day.

In the evening they walk home. Polly rides on a sheep. She feels like part of the family. It is a good day.
