Hunters of the Sky

Polly climbed to the edge of the mountain. Below her, the rock dropped straight down to the sea.

Polly subió hasta el borde de la montaña. Debajo de ella, la roca caía recta hasta el mar.

The warm air rose up the cliff. Polly opened her wings, and the wind lifted her high.

El aire cálido subía por el acantilado. Polly abrió las alas, y el viento la levantó muy alto.

A big eagle floated beside her. It had a white belly. It did not flap its wings. It just rode the wind along the wall of rock.

Una gran águila flotaba a su lado. Tenía la barriga blanca. No movía las alas. Solo montaba el viento junto a la pared de roca.

Then a falcon dived past her, fast as a falling stone. Polly laughed and let the wind carry her higher.

Entonces un halcón pasó en picado a su lado, rápido como una piedra que cae. Polly se rió y dejó que el viento la llevara más alto.
