Polly kiipesi vuoren laelle. Hänen alapuolella kallio putosi suoraan mereen.

Polly climbed to the edge of the mountain. Below her, the rock dropped straight down to the sea.

Lämmin ilma nousi kalliota pitkin. Polly avasi siipensä, ja tuuli nosti hänet korkealle.

The warm air rose up the cliff. Polly opened her wings, and the wind lifted her high.

Iso kotka liiteli hänen vierellään. Sillä oli valkoinen vatsa. Se ei räpytellä siipiään. Se vain ajelehti tuulen mukana kalliota pitkin.

A big eagle floated beside her. It had a white belly. It did not flap its wings. It just rode the wind along the wall of rock.

Sitten haukka syöksyi ohi, nopeana kuin putoava kivi. Polly nauroi ja antoi tuulen kantaa hänet vielä korkeammalle.

Then a falcon dived past her, fast as a falling stone. Polly laughed and let the wind carry her higher.
