Hunters of the Sky

Polly climbed to the edge of the mountain. Below her, the rock dropped straight down to the sea.

Polly stieg bis zum Rand des Berges. Unter ihr fiel der Fels gerade zum Meer hinab.

The warm air rose up the cliff. Polly opened her wings, and the wind lifted her high.

Die warme Luft stieg an der Klippe hinauf. Polly öffnete ihre Flügel, und der Wind hob sie hoch.

A big eagle floated beside her. It had a white belly. It did not flap its wings. It just rode the wind along the wall of rock.

Ein großer Adler schwebte neben ihr. Er hatte einen weißen Bauch. Er schlug nicht mit den Flügeln. Er ritt einfach auf dem Wind entlang der Felswand.

Then a falcon dived past her, fast as a falling stone. Polly laughed and let the wind carry her higher.

Dann stürzte ein Falke an ihr vorbei, schnell wie ein fallender Stein. Polly lachte und ließ sich vom Wind höher tragen.
