The Cleanup Crew

Polly flew high with the vultures. They went up in slow circles. The big birds made room for her. Her glasses shone in the sun.

Vultures see very well. One bird sees food far away and goes down. The other birds see it and follow. News moves fast without a sound.

Geier sehen sehr gut. Ein Vogel sieht Futter weit weg und fliegt nach unten. Die anderen Vögel sehen es und folgen. Die Nachricht geht schnell, ganz ohne Ton.

Small beetles work in the grass. They roll balls of dung. At night, they look at the stars. The stars show them the way.

Kleine Käfer arbeiten im Gras. Sie rollen Kugeln aus Dung. Nachts schauen sie zu den Sternen. Die Sterne zeigen ihnen den Weg.

Nothing is wasted here. Everything has a job. The grass feeds the animals. Polly flew home slowly.

Hier wird nichts verschwendet. Alles hat eine Aufgabe. Das Gras füttert die Tiere. Polly flog langsam nach Hause.
