Kanada gewinnt sein erstes WM-Spiel

Am achtzehnten Juni gewann Kanada sein erstes Männer-WM-Spiel. Das Spiel fand im eigenen Land statt, in der Stadt Vancouver. Kanada spielte gegen Katar und gewann mit sechs zu null Toren. Es war ein sehr großer Sieg für die Mannschaft.

On June the eighteenth, Canada won its first men's World Cup match. The game was at home, in the city of Vancouver. Canada played against Qatar and won by six goals to zero. It was a very big win for the team.

Die Fans waren sehr glücklich und sehr laut. Viele Menschen schwenkten rot-weiße Fahnen und sangen gemeinsam. Die Mannschaft spielte schnell und erzielte viele Tore vor dem heimischen Publikum. Alle wollten mehr sehen.

The fans were very happy and very loud. Many people waved red and white flags and sang together. The team played fast and scored many goals in front of the home crowd. Everybody wanted to see more.

Ein Spieler namens Jonathan David schoss drei Tore in nur einem Spiel. Das nennt man einen Hut-Trick, und das ist nicht leicht. Für Kanada war es ein wunderschöner Tag und ein Moment, den man noch viele Jahre lang nicht vergessen wird.
