"Will you stay?" Václav asked suddenly. "The clock needs a guardian who understands its true nature."

"For a while," she said finally. "Someone should help you write down what we learned."

Václav smiled widely. "I know a good café where we can work. They serve excellent seeds for unusual guests like you."

The clock had taught her that the greatest adventures weren't always about finding new secrets, but about protecting the mysteries that made the world magical.
